Senbird sources this high-grade Okumidori matcha from Kyoto’s Uji prefecture, a region widely recognized for its longstanding tradition of producing quality matcha. The tea is made from shade-grown tencha leaves that are stone ground to preserve flavor, aroma, and nutritional value.
Cultivation follows traditional Japanese practices, including the use of soils enriched with natural inputs such as fermented soybeans and yogurt, supporting sustainable growth without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. The resulting matcha has a smooth, balanced body with mellow umami and a clean, refreshing finish, making it well-suited for lattes, smoothies, or everyday use.
Produced in small batches by family-owned and small-scale farms across Japan, the tea is grown without chemicals, preservatives, or additives.
