The Chef

Arely Chavez of Amor is a Tijuana and San Diego based pastry chef and artist. She creates food through the lens of art, while sourcing ingredients from small farms and producers that she knows by name. She is excited by collaboration and creativity and puts thought and care into every detail of the pastry experience.

The Ice Cream

Coconut & Mamey Ice Cream. This tropical treat combines the rich creaminess of coconut with the sweet, earthy notes of mamey fruit. The coconut flavor brings a smooth base, enhanced by the texture of shredded coconut, which adds an enjoyable chewiness and a burst of natural coconut flavor.

Mamey, on the other hand, is known for its unique taste, often described as a blend of sweet potato and apricot, with a luscious, creamy consistency.
