Companion Bread

Sienna Walters of Companion Bread makes homemade, organic, whole grain Sourdough bread (and cookies!) She uses California grains and her bread makes the most nutritious and delicious toast/sandwich bread we've had in San Diego or elsewhere.

Esquina

Esquina is a San Diego based online wine shop! Founder, Heidi Greenwood, sources wines with sustainability, diverse wine makers, and small producers in mind. Order any time and pick up at our store on the next business day.

How to order: (Daily basis) Place an order by shopping Esquina's website anytime and selecting Home Ec as your free pickup location. Your order will be ready the next day (aside from Sunday/Monday, their days off.)

Farmer Mai

Mai is a California farmer and social justice activist. They specialize in growing heirloom crops using organic, drought-tolerant, and soil-enriching methods. We are a pickup point for their collaboration with Grist & Toll, which is a grain share membership where members receive a 5 or 10 lb bag of freshly ground, local heirloom wheat flour once a month, for 6 months.

We will be sure to let you know when sign-ups open for future seasons. (Note: As of October 2022, Mai and their grain shares are on a break. We will notify folks via our newsletter and Instagram if/when the shares become available in the future.)
