Queens gochugaru is made from heirloom hot peppers grown and hand harvested by a small group of female farmers in Jirisan, the oldest national park in South Korea considered a national treasure. These peppers are sun dried, destemmed and deseeded by hand, and then crushed in small batches in order to achieve a remarkably clean, bright, and zesty flavor profile. Super zippy and delightfully spicy. A truly special product that is hard to come by outside of the local Jirisan community.
