Join us at Home Ec for a natural dye workshop with local artist Aubrey Wood of Nova Goods. Aubrey is a multi-media artist currently residing in San Diego. She started Nova Goods as an exploration of natural dyes and continues to experiment with new techniques and natural materials. She uses everything from bugs to food waste and flowers to dye fibers and create works of art.
In this workshop we will explore nature's palette by using food scraps, vegetables, foraged flowers and garden weeds to dye our own flour sack tea towels. (2 per student.)
The ticket price includes:
Hands-on and informative natural dye lesson from Aubrey of Nova Goods
2 cotton tea towels to dye in class and take home
All necessary workshop supplies
This class is limited to 8 students. Tickets are non-refundable.
