The Chef

Astra Bakehouse is a San Diego-based baking project by Bárbara Durazo (she/her.) Bárbara is a transborder Baker & Culinary Artist. Born in Tijuana, she has worked in food, ceramics, farming and more in Los Angeles, Melbourne, Australia and now San Diego. Bárbara's project Astra Bakehouse began when the hospitality industry closed in 2020 and she spent her quarantine developing a home bakery specializing in vegan baked goods.
